What a quote commits us to, when payment falls due, how transit estimates work, and where responsibility sits between broker, carrier and customer.

What we are
Vector Auto Transport is a brand of Neptune Auto Transport LLC, a property broker licensed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. We arrange transportation; we do not operate trucks. Your vehicle is carried by an independent FMCSA-authorized motor carrier that we select, verify and dispatch on your behalf.
Quotes
A quote is an estimate of the price at which we expect to place your vehicle with a carrier, based on lane conditions when it was issued. It is not a guaranteed price: carrier rates move with availability on the lane. If they change materially before a driver is booked, we will tell you and re-quote rather than dispatch at a price no carrier will accept. No payment is taken until a driver is booked for your vehicle.
Booking, deposit and payment
No payment is taken until a carrier is assigned to your vehicle. At assignment, the deposit stated on your order becomes payable to us, and the balance is payable to the carrier on delivery in the form stated on your order. Cancellation terms are set out on your order confirmation.
Dates and transit times
Pickup and delivery are given as windows, not fixed appointments, except where you have purchased expedited service with a guaranteed pickup window. Transit estimates are guidelines and are affected by federal hours-of-service limits, weather, mechanical issues and routing.
Condition, personal items and claims
The Bill of Lading signed at pickup and delivery is the controlling record of the vehicle's condition. Inspect the vehicle before signing at delivery and note any damage on the document; a signed clean Bill of Lading makes a later claim very difficult. The assigned carrier's cargo insurance covers the vehicle in transit, and claims are made against that carrier. Personal items left in the vehicle travel at your risk and are not covered.
Your obligations
You confirm that you are authorized to ship the vehicle, that the details you give us are accurate, that the vehicle is in the condition described, and that it will be available at the agreed pickup point. Inaccurate details, including an undisclosed non-running condition or modification, may result in a price adjustment or a refused load at the roadside.
Limitation of liability
Our liability as broker is limited to the brokerage fee you paid us. Loss or damage to the vehicle in transit is the responsibility of the motor carrier under its cargo policy and applicable federal law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including rental costs or missed appointments.
Photo library license
Photographs offered for reuse on our photo library page may be used on other websites subject to the credit requirement stated there. That license applies only to photographs explicitly marked as reusable; all other images on this site are not offered for reuse.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], and by federal law where it applies to interstate transportation.
